East MeadowPTA Council provides the link between the local PTA's and the school district. Here in East Meadow we have nine units: East Meadow High School PTSA, W. Tresper Clarke PTSA, Woodland PTA, Barnum Woods PTA, Bowling Green PTA, Meadowbrook PTA, McVey PTA, Parkway PTA, and our Special Education PTA. We are very proud of each and every one of them. We operate with a full executive board, and we meet on a monthly basis. Our goal is to share information, provide assistance and leadership training. All district committees were started at the Council level and continue to be chaired by a representative of PTA Council. In addition, Council hosts our annual Founder's Day Dinner that is held in March. Unit PTA presidents also meet at a monthly roundtable meeting with the Superintendent of Schools, a member of the Board of Education, and the Council President. We share important events going on in our schools, and we learn from and support each other in every way.
Membership in unit PTA's is important because it brings together home and school. Parental and adult involvement in our schools is what helps make our schools great and our children successful! PTA Council remains committed to advocating for children and youth by further strengthening the links between home and school.

Meadow PTA Council invites you to join over 6 million involved parents,
teachers, administrators and community members who act as advocates for our
children and youth through the collective voice of the National PTA.
We all want the best education for our children, we all want to protect and keep our children safe from harm. Be a part of the power of PTA. A power that continually advocates for the safety of our children and a quality education for all children through a working partnership between home and school and through legislation on both the National and State levels.
A strong PTA is an effective PTA. Your participation as a member will provide the resources and manpower our local PTA’s need to make your children’s school experience the best that it can be. Let your children know that you care about the schools they attend and the education they receive. The link between parent involvement and student success is well documented. Be a link in the student success chain, join your school PTA.
